The Faculty of Mass Communication Hosted the Publicist Mona Iraqi
The faculty of Mass Communication organized a training course entitled “Storyboarding” that was given by the Publicist Mona Iraqi who hosts “El Mohema” TV show on Al Nahar Channel. This course was held from 8/10/2019 to 10/10/2019. Mona Iraqi was welcomed by Prof. Azza Othman, the Dean of the faculty of Mass of Communication, a number of faculty members and teaching assistant as well as many students who were very keen to attend this course.
During the course, Ms. Mona Iraqi got to know the students and their reasons to choose the media career and also encouraged them to identify their weaknesses that may hinder their success. The publicist Mona Iraqi built a sense of teamwork among the participating students during the course; the students were divided into groups to work on making a storyboard as their first step in the art of scriptwriting and to gain more self-confidence in the field of montage.
At the end of the course, the students showed the storyboards they have prepared which came as follows: “Marriage Announcement”, “Do You Understand Me?”, “Word Matters”, among others. Prof. Azza Othman, the faculty Dean, Ms. Mona Iraqi and Dr. Tamer Sokar, an assistant professor in the Radio and Television Production Department also distributed certificates of participation among the students and took photos for memory’s sake. On his part, Prof. Ramadan Abu El-Ala, the Vice President of Community Service and Environment Development Affairs, presented the University plaque and a certificate of appreciation to the publicist Mona Iraqi.
