Setting up the Committee of the Orientation Program

Under the auspices of Prof. Norhan Fanaky, the Vice-President for Education and Student affairs, an official meeting was held for setting up a committee of academic staff members who are going to be in charge of the orientation programme for the new students of the academic year 2018-2019 and their parents. This was held on Wednesday 27/6/2018 at 11 a.m. at the Student Theatre. This committee is chaired by a panel that is comprised of Dr. Mostafa Shalash, a lecturer at the faculty of Financial and Administrative Sciences; Dr. Alaa Khalil, a lecturer at the faculty of Engineering who acted as a representative of Prof. Mohamed Naeim, the Vice Dean of the faculty of Engineering; Mr. Salem Marrei, a HR Officer of the academic staff members and Dr. Enji Mahmoud, a Lecturer at the faculty of Mass Communication who was honoured during the meeting for her considerable efforts in supervising the committee for the past two years 2016-2017 and 2017 and 2018. Teaching assistants, appointed by the deans to be in the committee which orients the new students to Pharos University for this year, were also invited to attend the meeting where they were acquainted with the key role of teaching assistants in the orientation program; welcoming the new students, answering their enquiries and orienting them towards the departments of all PUA faculties and facilities. During the meeting, Mr. Salem Marrei announced the regulations set for managing the work of the organizing committee of the new students’ orientation program.  By the end of the meeting, Prof. Norhan Fanaky paid heed to the problems of the staff members and the hurdles they face during their job and promised to get over all these hurdles as much as possible.
