Pharos University Participated in the XCELING Consortium Meeting at the University of Poitiers
A second full consortium meeting took place at the University of Poitiers on 5-6 July 2018 where it was attended by six European universities including the University of Poitiers and six Egyptian universities including Pharos University and other partner universities of the Erasmus + Capacity Building project “XCELING”. Pharos University was represented in the consortium by Prof. Leyla Kamel, the Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation and Prof. Boshra Salem, the Consultant of International Affairs. This consortium meeting was held after a kick-off meeting in Cairo University at last February.
The aim of the XCELING project is to develop the technical and academic capabilities of universities by using new technologies as an essential element in the design and teaching of languages. Thus, the first step towards achieving the mission of the project is to fund language labs in Egyptian universities and then offer teacher exchange programs to European universities for the Egyptian teachers.
