Pharos University Won at Egypt Legal Tech Hackathon 2019
The Career Development and Entrepreneurship Centre (CDEC) at Pharos University won at Egypt Legal Tech Hackathon 2019; an international competition in legal entrepreneurship. This competition is the first project for the CIPIEE Centre (Centre pour l’Insertion Professionelle, l’Innovation et l’Entrepreneuriat en Egypte) which is opened in Senghor University.
This event is co-organized by the African Association of Media, Law and Finance, Ain Shams University and the Egyptian Council of State. The CIPIEE Centre is established as a part of a program launched by the AUF under the title of “Campus of the New Francophone Universities” (Campus du Nouvel Espace Universitaire Francophone) (CNEUF). It is worth mentioning that the Legal Tech Hackathon competition was held on 21-22 April 2019, with the participation of teams from both Egyptian and foreign universities.
The PUA delegation was comprised of Prof. Waleed Fahmy, an Associate Professor at the Public International Law Department; Prof. Ahmed Sameer who works at the Public Law Department; Ms. Hagar Mahmoud, an assistant lecturer at the Private International Law Department, in addition to Ms. Samar Baioumy, an assistant lecturer at the faculty of Arts and Design.
Worthy to note that Ms. Sara Hussien, a trainer at the Career Development and Entrepreneurship Centre lent technical support to the PUA team. This was held under the supervision of Dr. Noha Alaa El Din, the Deputy Director of the CDEC; Dr. Noha Ismail, the Francophone Relations Coordinator and Prof. Mohamed Abdel Rahman, the Director of the CDEC.
