The course objective to provide student with basic principles of instrumental analytical chemistry, scientific thinking and logical approach for solving problems. The quantitative analysis is mainly concerned with Chromatographic techniques including TLC and HPLC, in addition to IR Spectroscopy and mass spectroscopy.
Course objectives :
The advanced instrumental analysis is concerned with the following topics: • Theoritical principles of chromatography • Thin Layer Chromatography (theoretical principle, instrumentation and pharmaceutical application) • High Performance Liquid Chromatography (theoretical principle, instrumentation and pharmaceutical application) • Infra-red Spectrophotometry & mass spectroscopy (theoretical principle, instrumentation and pharmaceutical application) • Handling of Analysis Data (Graph construction, Calculation and Excel sheet)
