Course objectives :

To enable students to: Understand and apply the technical principles and graphic fundamentals that relate to architectural drafting and visual presentation, the orthographic projection, isometrics, and axonometric drawings of basic forms. Explore and acquire practical skills and competencies that will be required for manual drawing, drafting and presentation in the field of architecture. Develop the abilities and personal skills required to produce accurate, creative and high-quality architectural drawings. Demonstrate an ability to produce precise expressive illustration and interpretation of simple design ideas

Course description :

Describe basic understanding, skills ,concepts, principles and theories relevant to architectural design. Identify basic elements and essentials to present projects within defined restrictions. Explain the components and the parameters of architectural spaces. Distinguish the multi-dimensional visualization aspects of architectural Harmony, balance, rhythm and composition. Explain how to create an aesthetic composition under restrictive conditions. Examine an ability to produce precise expressive illustration and interpretation of simple design ideas. Apply visual thoughts and perceptions. Apply the technical principles and fundamentals that relate to architectural drafting and visual presentation. Relate visual sense of proportion and scale
