In recognition of the Faculty Applied Health Sciences Technology and the Department of Biomedical Equipment Technology of the necessity of developing education through linking the academic activities with the Egyptian industrial initiatives;

In pursuance of PUA’s Administration’s directives, and under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ezzat Hassan, Dean of the Faculty and Prof. Dr. Hamdy Al-Wakil, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs;

Based on coordination made by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ismail Badawy, Head of the Department of Biomedical Devices Technology; and

In response to the invitation extended by “Egypt Make Electronics” initiative (EME), which is funded by the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITEDA), of the Ministry of Communications,

17 Department students along with five faculty members and teaching assistants visited EME’s Innovation Hub-Borg Al Arab. The visit aimed to identify the possibilities available, and to open horizons for the Department students to implement their graduation projects.

As a result, the students learned about the initiative’s capabilities and its advanced laboratories, such as printed circuit laboratories, manufacturing laboratories, artificial intelligence laboratories, and Internet of Things laboratories.
