In the framework of the keenness of the faculty of Engineering on linking theories with applications, the Petrochemical Engineering Department organized a field trip to Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals Company (SIDPEC) on Sunday, 8 December 2019. The petrochemical engineering delegation was comprised of the fourth-year students, Associate Prof. Noha Saed, Associate Prof. Ehsan Nassif, Assistant Lecturer Dina Sobhy and Assistant Lecturer Radwa Zaraa. The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Yasser Ibrahim, the Vice President of SIDPEC. The delegation attended an introductory lecture about the company’s different units and learned about the Distributed Control System Unit (DCS) and other various control systems. They also went on a tour to all units and laboratories in the company.
