The Painting Department organized a field trip for the second-year students to Kom El Dekka district on Sunday, 1 December 2019. The coordination of the trip was managed by Dr. Sherine Mokhtar, a lecturer in the Painting Department. The aim of the trip was:

  • Developing the student’s ability to recognize and represent the effects of nature on the architectural buildings and surfaces.
  • Learning about the nature of different kinds of woods that display various density and color through the students’ artworks.
  • Studying light, shadow and color effects on architectural surfaces.

Fostering the student’s skills in traditional drawing and developing new ways of thinking, vision and creativity.
