The course aims to explore the most important biochemical molecules essential for a normal life as well as the structure and function of hormone and enzyme, to understand the roles of biomolecules in the cell and tissue, to verify the relationships between various biomolecules, to perceive how to distinguish numerous biomolecules , to identify biomolecules by using several biochemical tests.

Course objectives

This course is an introduction to biochemistry from a structural and functional viewpoint to introduce students to the chemical structures and functions of cellular macromolecules: carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, nucleic acids, vitamins, hormones and enzymes
