At the end of the course, the students will be able to;
- List the various types of fracture and discuss the classic loading patterns.
- Discuss the process of fracture healing.
- Describe the various types of fracture fixation devices and discuss their benefits and drawbacks.
Course objectives :
Conduction- diffusion- and convection in electrolytes. Equilibrium double layers and electrical forces in physiological systems. Application to physiological systems including membrane/electrolyte and electrode/electrolyte interfaces- interaction of biomaterials with electric fields- electrophoresis and electro-osmosis and electromechanical coupling in coupling in charged structures.
