About the Department:

Mechanical engineering is one of the largest, broadest, and oldest engineering disciplines. Mechanical engineering program aims to qualify the graduates to be pioneers in the specialties of the mechanical engineering and its applications to serve the needs of the community through the cooperation with the industrial sector and the government, also implant self learning methods to make the graduates familiar with the latest technologies. In addition, it provides scientific advice to all institutions working in the field of mechanical engineering. Mechanical engineering department includes four specializations: mechanical power engineering, industrial and manufacturing engineering, mechatronics engineering and automotive engineering. Mechanical power engineering and industrial and manufacturing engineering are available, but the second did not begin study until the appropriate number of students. Mechanical power engineers study the principles of mechanics, mathematics, engineering sciences, energy and heat, design and manufacture machines and devices of all types. Mechanics includes fluids, thermodynamics, automobiles, thermal & hydraulic power plants, air-conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, combustion and design of different mechanical parts.
