Prof. Dr. Amany Salama presented a cultural symposium to educate students about the importance of education in order to achieve the goals of sustainable development, as there is widespread concern that the development model followed across the world is unsustainable, as the deterioration of the state of the planet had frightening manifestations, such as the ozone hole, climate change, desertification, and others. Therefore, it became clear that continuing the pace of “development” in this way would deprive the following generations of any fair opportunities for life on the planet. Hence the concept of sustainable development arose.

None of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals can be achieved without education. These goals include an education goal, Goal 4. Ensuring equitable and inclusive quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.
