4th Pharmacy Day: Faculty of Pharmacy PUA organizes the 4th Pharmacy Day under the banner of "patient care", Saturday, May 15, 2010 in the “University Student Theater”, and on the sidelines of the day senior professors from the University of Pharmacy and the University of Alexandria Pharos will be honored. Have been invited to the event: drug industry leaders and academic professors of pharmacy, medicine, research centers, and head and members of Pharmacy Syndicate and businessmen in Alexandria, besides the parents of academically distinguished and outstanding students in extra academic activities in the Faculty of Pharmacy The program schedule includes the following events: 1. Shed light on various aspects that pharmacist can offer to the fullest “patient care”, in the areas of the pharmaceutical industry community pharmacies, hospital pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, trade and distribution of drugs, marketing and selling of drugs and development of human resources. 2. Discussion of topics of interest to the pharmacy profession, and proposed solutions to the existing problems in the presence of both the head of Pharmacy Syndicate in Alexandria and the Pharmacy Director, Ministry of Health in Alexandria. 3. Viewing aspects of Excellence at Faculty of Pharmacy, PUA 4. Presentation of scientific and innovative activities of Faculty students through: • Short students presentations in some areas of advanced medical science and pharmacy. • Scientific posters designed by students under the supervision of tutors and staff members. • Presentation about a student “innovation” in a trial to resolve the problem of environmental and climatic changes. 5. Honoring Senior Professors of Pharmacy in Alexandria and Pharos Universities as a tribute to our distinguished professors. 6. Honoring the members of the faculty and the Teaching Assistants who have been promoted to a higher scientific degree. 7. Honoring outstanding students academically, culturally, and in various extracurricular activities Pharmacy student gathering "PSC" ..Pharmacy student Gathering was organized by faculty of pharmacy ,Alexandria unuversity in coorporation with six different universities including: Pharos, Cairo, Ain Shams. Mansoura, Helwan and GUC on the 7th and 8th of March . the platinum sponsers were UNILEVER and LIFEBUOY, the golden sponsers were PHARCO coorperation and the event was also supported by the Children Cancer hospital 57357. the event schedule is included in details in the following pictures. on day 2 March 8 students gave a presentation on "Patient Counselling" , PUA students took FIRST place. the presentation was prepared by Junior students: Mahmoud Magdy Saeed, Jaimie Lyn and Freshmen student: Mohamed Magdy Saeed. A poster was also prepared before the presentation and viewed by the Jury. After the presentation a questionnare session was held were questions were asked by students and doctors. The prize was then handed out to the PUA winners which was 3 crystal trophies for each student and a crystal plate for the Dean of pharmacy,Dr Mahmoud Abdel Hady.
