The Faculty of Languages and Translation offers a unique opportunity to become proficient at more than one language, and to have an advantage in a competitive job market. Currently, there are two departments in this faculty: the Department of English, and the Department of French. In both departments students can major in one of the following three specializations: -Literature -Translation -Methodology In addition, students study another foreign language throughout their four years at Pharos, so that when they graduate they are proficient in German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese or English/French as a second language, as well as in Arabic. Having studied Western civilization and literature, graduates of the Faculty of Languages and Translation can also bridge the gap between East and West. They are independent thinkers and can work in the fields of education, translation, media and tourism.
