Mission and Vision

The mission of the Faculty of Engineering is to:

• Advance learning and knowledge through teaching and research, in close collaboration with industry and commerce.
• Admit promising students and equip them with an education that prepares them for leadership in the future.
• Conduct research based on the most exacting international recent standards which will lead to significant advances in different areas of specialization.
• Invest in the long-term intellectual future of its students, its staff and the community.
• Make research more accessible to industry.
• Set the University of Pharos more firmly in an Arab and International context, and bring together people from different countries to promoting effective international understanding.
• Attract students from Arab and European countries and help them to learn more about the professional working world.
• Contribute to the development of society through the pursuit of learning and research at the highest international levels of excellence.
• Provide an education which cultivates and encourages self learning throughout life.

The objectives of the faculty are to:

1. Prepare graduates specialized in the different fields of engineering.
2. Conduct studies and research with a creative approach in the different fields of engineering, and provide a solid base for exploring new areas by giving strong support to individual researchers as well as research groups.
3. Update society by applying problem-solving strategies to its problems.
4. Participate in future planning through establishing development strategies.
5. Set rules for the continuous development of educational programs and assessment of performance.
6. Address the world’s most pressing challenges through science and technology, working in collaboration with other disciplines, other institutions and the entrepreneurial community.
7. Provide a unique and favorable environment for the community of academics to pursue their ideas, work together and in partnership with others.

In order to achieve the mission and objectives the faculty assures their implementation through the performance of all technical departments with an outstanding ccurriculum that conforms with the continuous development in all fields.
