The faculty of Engineering at Pharos University in Alexandria began teaching in the academic year 2006 -2007. The clear aim of the faculty’s administration from the first day was to guarantee the faculty’s standard high so as to compete with the graduates of the other Egyptian Universities. This would be achieved through providing the best professors and assistants in addition to modern laboratory facilities. The faculty endeavors to build the student personality through co-operation with his colleagues in various scientific and social projects. Students learn how to get information and conduct methods of research and discussions objectively. The faculty provides summer training for each student in his specialization in distinguished companies in order to provide students with experience in addition to academic study to make it easy for them to work after their graduation..
In order to achieve this objective there should be co-operation from students in taking matters seriously and showing their commitment in exploiting the available chances seriously. Especially for the first years in the faculty, as these years would determine their future for the rest of their life.
I advise the students to consult their professors in any scientific or personal problems, which I am sure would find every possible help so that they would be the leaders of industry in the near future God willing.
